Working with referrers

For solicitors, accountants and other professional advisers whose clients need considered, independent wealth management.

Your client remains your client

CW

We work alongside solicitors, accountants and other professional advisers whose clients need considered, independent wealth management. The relationship works because the boundaries are respected.

How we work alongside you

Charlwood Wealth provides financial planning and discretionary investment management. We do not provide legal or accountancy services, and we never will; your client remains your client for your discipline, without exception.

With the client's consent, we keep the referring adviser informed of the advice given and the arrangements made, so that the legal, tax and financial strands of a client's affairs are designed together rather than in isolation.

What you can expect from us

A referral is a transfer of trust, and we treat it that way. You can expect a prompt, personal response to any introduction, direct access to the team who will look after your client, and honest feedback, including a candid "we are not the right firm" where that is the truth. We show referred clients the same restraint we show our own: no pressure, no product bias, and every cost in writing before any work begins.

Who suits us

We act for individuals, families and trustees with significant investable assets who want a long-term relationship rather than a transaction. Typical situations include retirement with pensions spread across providers, a significant inheritance, and trustees seeking independent discretionary management.

We would rather decline an introduction early than take on a client we cannot serve well.
