Independence

Independence is not a marketing position. It is a structural choice that shapes how we advise, how we invest, and how we are held accountable.

Why independence matters

CW

Independence is not a marketing position. It is a structural choice that shapes how we advise, how we invest, and how we are held accountable. It removes conflicts that would otherwise compromise judgement.

Independence of advice

Charlwood Wealth does not manufacture financial products. We do not receive commissions from product providers, and we are not part of a banking group or distribution network.

This means advice is structured solely around the client's objectives, constraints, and circumstances. There is no incentive to recommend one solution over another except on merit.

Independence of investment decisions

Investment decisions are made internally.

This allows us to retain full responsibility for outcomes and to act with conviction when circumstances require it. Decisions are documented, reviewed, and subject to internal governance.

Why alignment matters over time

Conflicts of interest often become apparent only over time. Commission-based models, product quotas, and corporate incentives can quietly distort advice in ways that are difficult to detect.

Independence removes these pressures. It allows the Charlwood Wealth team to act in the client's interest without compromise, and to be held accountable for doing so.

Fewer conflicts lead to greater clarity. Greater clarity leads to better decisions.

Independence is one structural choice. Boutique scale is another.
